      General Rules:

It is not uncommon for a racer to commit a “foul” that results in disqualification during a elimination or qualification run. If the opposing racer does not foul, the racer who commits the foul will be disqualified in that round. If the opposing racer also fouls, the result will be determined on a “First or Worst” basis. The racer who commits the first foul or the worst foul will be disqualified. Following is a list ranking fouls from worst to least the top being the worst the bottom least worst.

1.        Hitting opponent’s car with your car during or after a qualifying / elimination run by crossing into opponent’s lane.

2.        Crossing centerline before finish line.

3.        Contact with guardrail or crossing outer boundary line.

All entries must comply with all safety regulations per Track or IHRA rules please consult with host facilities or IHRA for any clarification or rule updates.

   Staging:

Staging time will be determined by official Starter or Auto Start feature of the timing system. Racers be aware if your opponent has turned on both stage bulbs and you have only your pre-stage bulb on you have very little time before the tree will be activated by a Starter or the Auto Start system usually this time will be seven seconds but can be anything from one second to ten seconds be ready. Any racer refusing to leave the starting line when instructed by the Official Starter can lead to disqualification. If both racers left starting line before timing system (Tree) is activated both are disqualified only exception if a racer where on a single run but of course no time would be awarded. During qualifying or single run a racer red lights the run will still count as long as the timing system was not tripped by the back tires. All Limited Street and Real Street races will use a .400 Pro Tree.

  Qualifying / Lane Choice:

During qualifying you must alternate lanes per round unless instructed otherwise by an  SSCA official. Failure to alternate lanes during qualifying will forfeit that rounds ET.  Lane choice first round goes by qualifying order in subsequent rounds lane choice goes to the racer with the faster ET the previous round if both have same ET lane choice goes to the faster MPH if that is the same lane choice will be determined by qualifying order.

   Conduct:

All drivers, pit crew and family members will be expected to act in a professional manner. It is the drivers responsibility to ensure that all pit crew and family members adhere to this rule. Any violation will result in disqualification and loss of entry fees, if deemed serious enough or becomes a problem at later events SSCA will ban the racer from future events.
